The TRD Method works by vertically cutting to the designed depth using a chain-blade cutting tool. It then cuts horizontally while injecting cement slurry to construct a continuous, equal thickness, seamless wall, followed by inserting core materials (like H-shaped steel) for support.
It is highly suitable for clay, sand, gravel, gravel layers, and dense sand layers with 30-60 standard penetration values. It also performs well in soft rock with saturated uniaxial compressive strength under 10 MPa.
The depth of the finished TRD wall can reach up to 70 meters with a high verticality accuracy (deviation ≤ 1/250 or 1/300 depending on application). The wall thickness typically ranges between 550 mm and 950 mm.
TRD walls exhibit exceptional water resistance. In sandy soil, the permeability coefficient can reach between 1x10-6 cm/s and 1x10-7 cm/s due to the uniform mixing of the cement slurry.
The TRD7095 is a heavier duty model with a 418 KW engine power, 70m standard cutting depth, and 120t operating weight. The TRD4585 features a 257 KW engine, 45m standard cutting depth, and 105t operating weight.
The maximum height of the construction machinery is generally under 12 meters. This low center of gravity provides superior stability compared to other vertical piling setups.
